Planned outages for Cowan area

Duck River Electric crews will be working in the Cowan community in Franklin County on Tuesday, Oct. 8, and Thursday, Oct. 10, to complete system improvements and enhance electric service to the area. To ensure the safety of the crews, planned outages are necessary on both days beginning at 8 a.m. and lasting up to five hours.

Prior to planned outages, the DREMC team activates a notification system to call members who will be impacted. Due to a technical glitch, the calls that were programmed for Oct. 1 were not delivered as planned. The system is now operable, and members included in these planned outages should receive calls from DREMC so that they can make preparations as needed. Because of the short notice to those affected by the Oct. 8 planned outage, we have included a list of addresses affected.

Please drive with caution in these areas as crews may be set up alongside and on the road to upgrade power lines and other equipment. We appreciate your patience as our team works to serve your community, and we regret the technical issue that delayed more timely notification to our members in the Cowan community.
