08 May Severe weather, outages impact 14,400+ Wednesday evening
DREMC and TVA crews are responding to outages resulting from the severe weather system. Approximately 8,700 members were affected initially by the outages in Maury County. Two substations are affected, and TVA lost its feed to the DREMC Rally Hill substation.
As the storm system continued moving across Middle Tennessee, the number of outages has increased around 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday to more than 14,400 members without power. These outages are widespread and affect DREMC members in Marshall, Maury, Coffee, Bedford, Rutherford, and Franklin.
Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to the area. Please continue to be weather-aware throughout the evening.
We appreciate your patience and prayers as our team works to restore service to everyone impacted by the outages.
As more information is available, DREMC will post updates on Facebook and our website.
